Exchange Programmes

As part of an exchange programme: Erasmus+, BCI (Quebec), Erasmus Mundus, cooperation agreements.

The Université de Perpignan Via Domitia is involved in a number of international partnership programmes (Erasmus+ Europe, Erasmus+ ICM, BCI) and has signed over a hundred bilateral agreements. These agreements enable students from all over the world to study or undertake a work placement with us, enjoying a warm welcome with high-quality administrative and teaching support, as well as specific funding.

Erasmus+ Europe

The Erasmus+ Europe programme promotes mobility within higher education institutions in countries of the European Economic Area that have signed the Erasmus+ Charter. The programme is open to students (periods of study or work placements), as well as all academic and administrative staff of higher education institutions.

The Erasmus+ programme (2021-2027), financed by the European Commission, contributes to the creation of a European Higher Education Area by pursuing several objectives, including:

  • Improving the quality and strengthening the European dimension of higher education
  • Increasing the mobility of students, teachers and academic staff
  • Strengthening multilateral cooperation
  • Providing transparency and recognition of acquired qualifications and diplomas

Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme (with Algeria, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Mexico, Tunisia, Vietnam)

New international mobility programme funded by the European Commission, based on academic and scientific excellence between Europe and non-European countries, as part of the Erasmus+ 2021-2027 programme.

The main objective of this programme is to strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions in European countries (known as ‘programme countries’) and non-European countries (known as ‘partner countries’), by awarding mobility grants for excellence.

BCI Programme (Quebec)

The UPVD takes part in the BCI (Bureau de Coopération Interuniversitaire) student exchange programme with Quebec (Canada). This programme enables students from BCI partner universities to study in France. It is open to students in all disciplines with at least a second year of undergraduate studies.

Bilateral International Partnership Agreements

Multi-degree courses, double degrees or international partnerships, enabling students from partner universities to complete part of their course at the UPVD. Students applying for incoming mobility at the UPVD must apply to the International and Cross-Border Relations Department (SRIT).
